It snowed in Houston, TX!!!!

This pic is of Patachou wearing his bomber jacket. I couldn't find the one I took of Nanuchy so this will have to do lol. Who would have thought I could find a bomber jacket to fit a 104 lbs rottie lol.

Happy Thanksgiving!

The pic is of Patachou when he had gotten home from his radiation treatment. He was tired and had headed right up to bed. You can see (sorta) up in left hand corner, Patches is lying in her favorite spot.
I just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Gasp another post

I know you are now thinking the world is coming to an end lol.

Just had to share this pic I took of Patachou when he was done with his radiation treatment. He loved wearing clothes and the techs and Gulf Coast Vet Specialist put it on him. All the vets and techs signed it. Pata loved going there for his treatment. He used to give everyone kisses. A total love bug.

WOOT!!!

I'm so excited. Yesterday (9/28) at 3:15pm the power came back on!!! 16 days without power!!! The whole complex cheered when it came back on. So nice to have a/c, lights, tv, warm shower lol. And I was able to drain the turtle tank and fill it up with clean water. Now if my fridge would cool that would with wonderful lol.

All the babies faired pretty well overall. I'm happy to say that Tobie (tortoise) seem more outgoing than he did before this which is pretty cool. I thought he might end up shyer.

Anyway had to share. Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Day 12 or something of no power

Well Hurrican Ike plowed thru Houston, TX and left all kinds of fun damages in his wake. I lost power back on Sept 12th at 11pm. Still without power unfortunately. And it isn't because Centerpoint and company aren't working, no they are working their butts off!!!

Sandi & Sonja

Well I'm back!!! LOL I know it has been a couple of months. Did y'all miss me?? LOL

Now it is time to introduce Sandi and Sonja. They belonged to my late ex-MIL. When she passed away we inherited them. After the divorce we have joined-custody of the girls, but I have them full time.

Sandi is in the back and Sonja in the front. They are cousins, their daddy's are brothers. They both came from Kismet Kennels. I found out that both of them don't have the greatest teeth. Sonja's are definitely worse than Sandi's. Poor Sonja had to have 8 teeth pulled at her last dental visit.

Patachou my rottie angel

Patachou 04/14/99 - 06/11/07

I really wanted to write about Patachou on Monday (Apr 14th). That was Patachou's birthday when he was alive (he would have been 9 yrs old this year). But work got in the way (darn it LOL) This is my all time favorite pic of him. This was taken early 2007 after his diagnoses with Synovial Sarcoma (cancer).

Where did time go?

Well so much for blogging on a regular basis. Something about life getting in the way of good intentions. It has been super busy at work, darn work, how am I supposed to keep up with emails, reading, and friends if I'm swamped with work LOL. Hmmm but then again work is what allows my pets to live in the luxury they have become accustomed to LOL.

Speaking of pets. May was well introduce Nanuchy aka Gucci. She is a 12 1/2 yr old terror (yes terror) mix. All of 26 lbs and a tough little alpha b***h LOL.

I got her from the Houston SPCA when she was all of 8 weeks old. Such a cute little innocent baby.

Wasn't she a cute little thing. She was about 10 weeks old in this pic.

My first blog

Well it seems that everyone is blogging now, so not to feel left out I figured I would try my hand at it too.

I honestly can't imagine not having the internet. It is just amazing how much can be done online. I love being able to keep in contact with all my friends and most of them don't live in the same city as me. I'm part of several groups online that cater to my love of dogs (specifically rotties), turtles etc.

Since pets take up such a large part of my life and budget, be ready to hear about them here too.

Wonder if anyone will even read this. LOL the way I see it, it can't hurt.
