Dory's Smiley-Fest 2009 - Official Entry :)

I want to thank everyone who commented on Patachou my sweet baby.
So for Dory's Smiley-Fest 2009 at Dory's Backyard my entry is:

I think this is my all time favorite pic of Patachou. I have it as my computer background. Patachou was pretty much a happy boy all the time. He loved to pose for pic and LOVED wearing cloths. Here he is smiling at me lying on my bed. He loved my bed (who wouldn't love a king sized bed lol) and never once lay on the 3 rottie sized orthopedic beds I bought when he was diagnosed with hip dysplacia etc lol. He loved women and petite blond female dogs, but most of all he loved me and I loved him so much it still hurts. He was my heartdog and I know I'm so lucky to have had him in my life when I needed him the most.

Ok better stop there before I start crying again.
I'll let everyone know when the competition is open :) The big prize goes to a rescue group/shelter of the winners choice :)

It is a miserable thing to lose a ♥dog. Sometimes you can look back and smile and sometimes when you look back a cold wind blows through your heart all over again. I know. It happens to me. Because I can't imagine life without animals in my life and home, I will go through penetrating sadness many times before I die - but, I cannot live my life without them.

I am so sorry this darling boy had to leave too soon. There is never a good time to say good-bye to someone you love - you always want one more day...

Thanks Scout & Freyja. Im always going to have dogs, I need them in my life or it feels too empty. It hurts when ever one leaves but I always feel I've learned so much from them!

Thanks Brownie. I don't have as many pics as I would have like which is why I've taken a lot of my girls.

Oh, that is the most gorgeous smile!!!

We bought an orthopaedic bed for Honey too (she doens't have any issues but we just thought it might be better to prevent athritis developing in old age)...well, she hated it and refused to sleep on it - even preferred the floor! Had to give in in the end and return her beloved beanbag...!

Dear Anne-Katherine
I can just imagine what you went through with Patachou (and still go through)...and I can't bare the thought - knowing that Max will be gone too one day. He is my own 'heart dog'. I have never experienced something like this. Each day brings a new blessing and I often think:: "I must have done something right!".
THey are with us for such a short time but our lives are so much richer as a result. Each moment is preserved as a fond memory.
We hold onto those memories with you.
Good luck!

Thanks Max's Mama. When I met Patachou for the first time at 2 week old it was like part of my heart and soul had been restored. I swear it was love at first sight/touch between us. I hope you have many many more wonderful years with Max. Give him an extra hug from me in Patachou's memory!

Thanks Kasha you are too sweet. Patachou was a great dog who got into trouble like all good puppies lol. But I wouldn't change any of the time we had together!
