Well Hurrican Ike plowed thru Houston, TX and left all kinds of fun damages in his wake. I lost power back on Sept 12th at 11pm. Still without power unfortunately. And it isn't because Centerpoint and company aren't working, no they are working their butts off!!!
Got a txt update yesterday: "Centerpoint says it will complete infrastructure repair for this zip code by Sunday Sept 28th"
Infrastructure repair!!! For the love of puppies, that can't be good!!!
Ok enough of that. I was very lucky in that my complex had only minor damage and both my apt and car had no damage. So far sleeping with all the windows open has been ok, especially since the neighbors have decided that it no longer is so much fun and not outside socializing and playing their music to all hours.
On a good note all my babies have really handled this well. Tobie my tortoise still gets under his heating lamp everyday and stomps his little feet wanting the light to turn on. My 125 gallon turtle tank is well starting to look a bit like a pond. As soon as the power comes back on it is getting cleaned!
Aren't those flowers beautiful?? My boss gave them to me because he feels bad that I still dont have power.
