It snowed in Houston, TX!!!!

This pic is of Patachou wearing his bomber jacket. I couldn't find the one I took of Nanuchy so this will have to do lol. Who would have thought I could find a bomber jacket to fit a 104 lbs rottie lol.

Wow did we get a cool surprise yesterday. The temps had dropped big time and we only got a high of 38 brrrrr. Well around 4:30pm it started to snow. Was kinda sorta little bitty you have to really squint kinda flurries. Of course that was enough to cause several accidents lol.

By the time I got out of the gym around 6:40 pm it was snowing big fat flakes, how cool is that!!! Some of the cars actually had some flakes on them. To say we were excited is an understatement.

By the time I got home it had stopped and I was sad since I want my 3 girls (doggies that is) to see the snow.

Fast forward to 8:30 pm for the girls last walk and I walk out and all the cars are covered in snow (no didn't get pics, should have darn it). It was kinda windy too so it was cold. But it was awesome seeing all that fat fluffy snowflakes. The girls seemed a bit less excited than me lol. Nanuchy got to wear her bomber jacket since she doesn't have a double coat like Sandi & Sonja (shelties). I was freezing by the time we got back in (yes I did have a big jacket on but my hands were frozen).

This morning on the news they showed countless accidents that had happened. All the bridges and overpasses were frozen over so the traffic was horrible. Which was nice to be able to get to work using the back roads and still get there in a somewhat timely manner.

Well that is my excitement for the day. I'm hoping to take the girls to see Santa at petsmart this weekend so I can get their pics taken. This should be interesting since well they don't like having their pic taken. Nanuchy will probably try to eat someone's dog lol. Which reminds me I really need to brush the shelties and give Nanuchy a bath so they all look good for Santa.

One of my friends has a wonderful picture of her Sheltie (now dec) touching noses with the Santa at Petsmart. He'd suddenly realized that he recognized Santa's smell (a friend of ours & the only person to let Blaize lick his face).

When we had the record-breaking (24") snow in 2000, Blaize loved it. He actually tunneled under the snow. Maybe you need snow like that before your girls get excited about it.

I love the bomber jacket. Too cool about snow in Houston. Just be careful driving! I hope your babies get to see some more of the white stuff! I bet they'd love it.

And have fun with Santa at Petsmart. I have to look into that. I'd love to get a pic of Chaos with Santa!

Thanks Eva, lol the snow was pretty. Nothing like the stuff I grew up with (Norway/Switzerland) but still fun. I think if there had been more on the ground the girls might have been more excited.

I did get a couple of pics of the girls today so will try to post them. Not best pics due to camera phone.
